Voting Information for Las Vegas Residence
Hello all,
With the events that have occurred in the past 7+ days that have not only affected our community, I thought it would be a good time to share some voting information with my fellow Las Vegans. It is important now, more than ever, to make your voice be heard at the voting booths. This is our chance to make a difference in our local and national government. I wanted to break it down as simply as possible on how to vote this election. I have also provided a list of Nonpartisan candidates running for local positions that support equal justice. I still encourage all of you to do your own research and elect those who you believe will make a positive impact these next 2-4-6 years.
How to Vote:
As you might have noticed, Nevada has given us the chance to vote for local primaries through mail-in-ballots. Here are the very simple steps as to how to mail in your votes.
1. Once you have received your ballot, make sure it has YOUR correct information on the front window before opening.
2. Fill out your ballot choices by using a blue or black pen and fill in the circle completely. If you make a mistake, simply cross out the name you marked by mistake and fill in the correct circle.
3. When you are ready to mail in, remove the voter receipt at the top part of your ballot, and keep it somewhere safe.
4. You can now refold your ballot the way it originally came, and insert into the secrecy sleeve before inserting both into the absentee ballot return envelope. No postage stamp is necessary.
5. Sign and seal the return envelope and you can drop it off into the return box in your mailbox by the June 9th deadline!
