Veganism is more than just giving up cheese and eggs. It's a lifestyle, where you commit to ensuring that your actions do no harm to animals, and other living beings. With that being said, there is no such thing as the perfect vegan. As long as you are doing as much as YOU can, that is all that matters. Now if you are looking for ways to be more environmentally and vegan friendly at home, I am here once again with some recommendations. Here are 10 products that will make your home more eco-friendly and you can feel good about where you are spending your money.

This cleaner is an all-one-solution for all most your cleaning needs. Its formula is plant based yet so powerful. I'm not even exaggerating, you can use this product from bathroom mildew, to dish soap, to laundry detergent!! Where else can you find something so versatile and eco-friendly. Just make sure you follow the dilution instructions for each solution use. You can find the 32oz in many retailers (Walmart, Target, Sprouts, etc.), but I recommend going online and getting the bulk bottle.

I'm not biased I swear. Dr. Bronner is just killing the game with sustainability. They offer this multipurpose bathroom soap that can be used for hands, body, face, and even shampoo! It's coconut oil and hemp oil based, which have so many benefits for your skin. They offer different scents, and even have a baby version. Dr. Bronner keep doing what you're doing and thank you!

If you're like me, then you probably feel horribly guilty throwing away household items frequently. Like freaking loofahs! These sponge alternative loofahs have been around longer than sliced bread I think, yet they get ignored for the modern conventional styles. Natural loofahs are biodegradable, compostable, package free, and you find these almost anywhere that sells bathroom goods (usually for just a few dollars).

If there's a brush, there's a wooden alternative. There is literally nothing more vegan I can think of than a wooden brush. From toothbrushes, to shower brushes, to cleaning brushes. Wood is 100% biodegradable, plant based, and eco-friendly. You can usually find different types of brushes sold in sets online. They are a little more inexpensive, but you can find them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond if you need something asap.

Duh. In 2020 everyone should have a handy-dandy portable utensil set. Carrying these will hopefully inspire you to start packing lunch from home, and save more that way. If you do end up eating out, you don't have to waste a straw and plastic utensils. I haven't seen many of these sets in stores YET, but there are some nice and affordable ones on etsy.
This is a big one for me personally. Nothing upsets me more than food going to waste because it wasn't stored correctly. There are a million options for food containers, but let me tell you they are not all the same. Food storage boxes have evolved. Not only are there sustainable manufacturers and brands, but now boxes can be multipurpose! How you ask? Chopping board lids. IKEA's 365+ glass containers and wooden lids. Enough said.

If you don't have a refrigerator with a water dispenser, I highly recommend getting a smaller water filter for your home. Stop throwing hundreds of single use water bottles away! You don't need a brand name filtered dispenser. Your local super market will carry them. While you are at it, also pick yourself up an insulated water bottle or two. No more plastic water bottles!

It had to be said so I am saying it. Remember America's toilet paper crisis of 2020? I know it feels like 10 years ago now, but it's only been a few months since. Well, all of that could have been avoided if we all got with the times and invested in bidets. Bidets come in many forms (handheld attachments, toilet seat attachments, or built into your toilet), but its purpose is to clean your areas after using the bathroom. As weird and uncomfortable as it might sound, the bidet is actually very common in other parts of the world. You can find inexpensive attachments for the toilet you already own at most home improvement stores. You will save hundreds of dollars on toilet paper, and never have to worry about having to fight for the last pack in the case of another emergency.

These razors take some time to master, but in the long run they save you so much money, and save the earth from unnecessary wasted plastic, that will most likely end up in the oceans. Replacement razors
are less than 50 cents each. For larger areas, I swear by at home waxing/sugaring! So you can still be smooth and eco-friendly.

This one isn't a product, and I know people are a little more cautious since there is a virus going around. With the right precautions (deep cleaning after you purchase) thrifting is a big way to reuse everyday things. Especially on things like furniture, and decor. Thrifting also doesn't have to be from Goodwill, you can thrift online from sites like OfferUp and Depop. So if you're moving or want to switch up your style in your closet or home, try thrifting.
