*Easy Vegan Cauliflower Wings

Lately I've been playing master chef with my free time. I have a bookmark page full of recipes I want to try, but sometimes I run into the problem that I have no idea what an ingredient is, where I can find it, or I'm too lazy to go get it.

I modified this recipe to make it lazy friendly with things you should have at home. And if you are missing something, I am certain you can find a substitute.

Prep time ~ 10 minutes
Cooking time ~ 30 minutes

Ingredients

  •      1 Head of Cauliflower
  •      1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  •      1 Cup Flour
  •      1 Teaspoon of Corn Starch (Not necessary, but it helps the batter stick to the "wings")
  •      1/2 Teaspoon of Onion Power
  •      1 Teaspoon of Salt and Black Pepper
  •      Creole Seasoning/ Paprika Powder/ Hot Sauce of your choice/ or No Spice is Ok I Guess?
  •      1 1/2 Cups of Water
  •      1 White Claw (or juice if you're under 21)
Step 1: Preheat your over to 375° F, and wash and cut your head of cauliflower to bite size "wings".

Step 2:  In a large bowl mix all your dry ingredients (not including the bread crumbs) together first. You can use a hand mixer, but I used just a hand whisk. Put the crumbs into a separate bowl.

Step 3: Add the water slowly. Start with 1/2 a cup, mix, add the rest of the water. Mix the batter until it's not too watery. If you are using hot sauce, or a liquid seasoning you can add it after the water, to taste. I like a lot of spice so 2 teaspoons would do it for me.

Step 4: With one hand, dip the "wings" into the batter, and with the other hand roll the "wing" in the bread crumbs. Make sure to cover them well with both batter and bread crumbs.

Step 5: Lay each wing on an oven sheet with some space in between them.

Step 6: When your oven is ready, gently throw your wings in for 20 minutes. Set a timer for 10 minutes to flip them half way. Crack open your White Claw and wait it out.

Step 7: They should be a golden brown when they are done. Let them cool for 10 minutes, and enjoy. I had mine with Daiya Hon'y Mustard dressing, but BBQ sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce will compliment these wings well.
